How it all started
African-American author Erica L. Pullen, of Baltimore County, Maryland; has released her first children's book, "Believing in Myself," to inspire children to never give up on their dreams, despite the odds that appear to be stacked against them. Her book tells the story of a young girl who aspires to become a ballerina but lacks the confidence to achieve her goal because of the standards set by society.
